As a result of the latter, she performed with the RSNO. An active chamber  musician, she was an Oxford Lieder Young Artist and Leeds Lieder Young Artist in the 2022-2023 season. With the soprano Karla Grant she has performed across Britain, the Netherlands and Belgium. A recent collaboration with the Resol String Quartet has seen her perform Mozart and Beethoven concertos in chamber format in concerts throughout Scotland.

She is appearing tonight as part of a sponsored tour resulting from her RCS  Governors' Recital Prize for keyboard.

'Jia Ning was clearly alive to all the nuances of Schubert's famously illustrative accompaniments, whether turning the great Steinway into a gently plucked lute [An die Laute] or rippling seamlessly as the flowers swayed in the breeze [Die Blumensprache]'
