Flutes & Frets

Join the Flutes and Frets Duo on a chronological journey of personal favourites from the last 500 years, using a wide range of historically appropriate instruments. The programme will include music by Downland, Rossini and Kapustin as well as lesser known names.
 
 Flutes and Frets (Beth Stone-  flutes and Daniel Murphy -  fretted instruments) have been playing together for a number of years. Their passion is to explore the different sound worlds of their unique combination of instruments through the centuries. In this format they have performed all over the UK and Europe and have won numerous prizes, including La Follia Nuova International Chamber Music competition in 2021 and the International H.I.F. Biber Competition in 2023. It is also a pleasure to welcome back Beth after her concert with Lumas Winds last season.
