Lauded by the Guardian for her “dark and focussed voice, sensational colaratura and spectacular singing” and by the Times for her “fierce, indeed terrifying, cane-swishing characterisations”, Beth Taylor was a noted prizewinner in the 2023 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. She is active in opera in the concert hall and in recital, often with her partner tonight, Marcia, with whom she has collaborated in a recent recording of the music of Hélène de Montgeroult.
 
Marcia Hadjimarkos, originally from Oregon, has lived in Burgundy for some years. She is a specialist in historical keyboard performance who has produced a wide range of recordings, a teacher, translator and writer.
