Steven Osborne has progressed from being a student at St Mary's Music School, Edinburgh, to an international career, performing in many of the world's most prestigious venues such as Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Suntory Hall Tokyo and Carnegie Hall.  His many recordings have accumulated numerous international awards and span a wide range of repertoire.

Always a popular artist in Kelso -  his programme, which focuses in the first half on Debussy,  includes a first for us – an improvisation on a theme by the American jazz/classical pianist and composer Keith Jarrett  and ends with Rachmaninov's Piano Sonata no 1 –  which he has recently recorded.
